Christmas Activities in York 2020
Christmas Panto at the Knavesmire
Christmas cheer is coming to York in the form of panto to be held in a huge tented palace on the Knacesmore Racecourse.
York’s Grand Opera producer, Chris Moreno has created a production of the popular panto, Aladdin. It will take place inside a 54m diameter heated big top. The audience will be in socially distanced, tiered cushioned seats. The normal capacity has been reduced from 2500 to 976 and tickets can be purchased for pods of 3, 4, 6 or 6 people.
The extensive stage spans 50m and will comprise an impressive palace-style set with stunning projected scenery and magical special effects, as well as full stage lighting and sound. Tickets are priced between £13 and £35 for adults and £12-£29 for children and concessions.
