Spencer House

Spencer gives families, couples and friends a pet friendly self catering York option that sleeps up to 6 people (three double beds of which one is a super king that can also be split into 2 single beds) and is a great choice if you are looking for luxury accommodation in the centre of York.

We’re a 10 min walk from the station and a 7 min stroll into the centre of York with all its cultural, historic, gastronomic & shopping delights.

We pride ourselves on being couples and family friendly and we offer as much as we can to make your stay at Spencer House an enjoyable one. After a fun day sight seeing you can have drinks in our sunny courtyard or chill out and watch a movie on the 52 inch TV in the living room.

All guests are greeted with freshly baked cake and everything needed to make a good cuppa. If you are bringing little ones we have a high chair, cot and a variety of games and books.

We always make sure we supply the basics (having ourselves been frustrated by no dishwashing liquid or bin bags at rentals). We have USB charging ports in every room as well as cleaning equipment, store cupboard basics and the bathroom has soap, shower gel and shampoo.

We have a deal with a private car park a 2 minute walk away for £5 per day – as far as we know this is the cheapest parking available in central York. There is also a public car park 2 minutes walk away for £13 per day.

We try to take any of the stress out of your stay so you can focus on enjoying the house and magnificent York!
